Buying, selling, or renting out
Schertz sees a steady flow of families moving in and out. If you’re buying, selling, or turning a home into a rental, knowing the roof’s condition ahead of time takes one big unknown off the list. We come out, look at the roof, and give you a plain answer you can plan around.
Subdivision roofs aging together
Many Schertz neighborhoods were built in the same years, so their roofs age on the same schedule. If several neighbors are getting roofs, yours is likely the same age, and a free look tells you where yours stands. Shingle quality, ventilation, and storm history decide the rest.
Hail and wind on the I-35 corridor
Spring storms track through this stretch of I-35 with hail and strong wind. Hail bruises shingles and dents vents and gutters; wind lifts shingle edges and breaks their seal. After a storm, check from the ground:
- Shingles that are missing, lifted, folded, or sitting in the yard.
- Dents on gutters, downspouts, vents, and the AC unit, a sign hail hit the house.
- Piles of shingle granules at the bottom of the downspouts.
- Bent or loose flashing around the chimney and roof edges.
- New water stains on ceilings or around upstairs windows.
- Stay on the ground. Don’t climb a wet or damaged roof. Take photos from the yard and call us.
Repair or replace
If it’s a vent, a flashing, or one slope, we repair it. If the roof is worn across every slope, we explain why replacement makes more sense. We install shingle, metal, tile, and flat roofs, and we also handle gutters, siding, and windows.
Insurance
We inspect storm and hail damage, document what we find with photos, and can meet your adjuster at the house. We don’t file or negotiate your claim, and nobody can promise what insurance will pay. The claim stays between you and your insurance company.
