Signs it may be time for a new roof
A replacement is worth talking about when you see:
- Leaks in more than one place, or leaks that come back after repairs.
- Shingles that are curling, cracking, or bald from lost granules.
- Hail or wind damage across several slopes, not just one spot.
- Soft or sagging areas that point to damaged decking.
Choosing the right roof
Shingles are the most common choice and fit most budgets. Metal costs more up front and holds up well to heat and wind. Tile suits certain home styles, and flat roofs need their own approach to drainage. We explain the trade-offs for your house and let you pick.
Why replace instead of patching again
Patching a worn-out roof can make sense for a season, but each repair only covers one spot. When the whole roof is aging, new leaks keep showing up somewhere else, and water damage inside the house costs more than the roof. A full replacement resets the clock: new underlayment, new flashing, and a roof built for Texas heat and storms.
Replacement is also a chance to fix things that were never right, like poor ventilation that cooks the attic, or flashing details that let water in around chimneys and walls. We check the decking during tear-off and replace any soft or rotted boards so the new roof sits on a solid base.
What replacement day looks like
We tell you the days before we start. Most houses are started and finished in one day; bigger and steeper roofs can take longer. We tear off the old roof, check the decking, install the new roof and flashing, and clean up the yard before we leave.
Financing is available. Ask about it when we come out, or fill out the financing form on our home page.
